Memphis, TX -- Services for Floye F. Wiginton, 73, of Memphis, TX, will be at 4:00 PM on Sunday, December 18, 2005 at First Baptist Church in Memphis, TX, with Rev. O.K. Bowen officiating, assisted by Rev. Johnnie Snider. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Wiginton passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2005 in Amarillo, TX. She was born on June 18, 1932 in Leedy, OK to the late James Hammons and the late Myrtle (Finney) Hammons. She moved with her family to Hall County, TX in 1938, and to Memphis, TX in 1942. She graduated from Memphis High School in 1952. She and L.M. "Snowdie" Wiginton were married on February 8, 1953 in Post, TX. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1991. Mrs. Wiginton was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Memphis, where she was active in the Lydia Sunday School class and worked in the nursery for many years. She was also active as a Cub Scout leader. Mrs. Wiginton was a homemaker. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. She is survived by three sons, Larry Wiginton and wife Dianna of Memphis, Texas; Dale Wiginton and wife Carol of Lubbock, Texas; and Tim Wiginton and wife Michelle of Memphis, Texas; nine grandchildren, Deborah and Jim McAnear; Lee Wiginton; Lisa Wiginton; Robert Wiginton; Felicity and Carl D. Bowman; Joe Wiginton; Garrett Wiginton; Justin Thompson; and Scott Thompson; four brothers and sisters, Mary Lee Padgett of Medford, OR; Nell Thompson of Amarillo, TX; John Hammons of Coolidge, AZ; and Pauline Johnsey and husband Omer of Memphis, TX; a brother-in-law, W.H. Goodnight of Memphis, TX; a sister-in-law, Omelee Wiginton Tucker of Duncanville, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to First Baptist Church, P.O.
