Graveside services for Jimmy Dean Bessire, 61, of Pampa, TX will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian, TX with Donald Hill, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Jimmy passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 in Pampa, TX. Jimmy was born March 25, 1953 in Cherry Point, NC to the late J.D. Bessire and Mrs. Laura Bessire Norman. He attended schools in Canadian, TX. Jimmy was known to all his friends as “Bass”. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, Budweiser beer and women in that order. He loved to have fun but would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He worked for Adcock and Prater in Canadian and later started his own ditch witch business. He moved to Denton, TX and built log cabins with his step dad for 5 years and then moved to Arizona for 10 years and had his own maintenance business. He moved to Pampa and lived his last 11 years being retired. He loved his family and friends very much. His good heart, free spirit, fun and passion will be truly missed. Jim “Bass” is doing wheelies on his Harley in the clouds in heaven now. Jimmy is survived by his son, Russel Jay Bessire of Cordell, OK; his sister, Debbie Bessire Thomas of Canadian, TX; his brother, Douglas Jay Bessire and wife Bonnie of Vernon, TX; three step-brothers, Lynn Boyer and wife Sandy of Dallas, TX; Mike Boyer and wife Mara of Amarillo, TX; Joel Boyer and wife Christina of Albuquerque, NM; two nephews, Dallas Wayland Thomas of Canadian, TX; Dallie Wade Thomas of Amarillo, TX; his step-dad, Bill Boyer of Pampa, TX; his aunt, Daphna Tobey of Greenwood, IN; two uncles, Dwayne Walls and wife Shari of Bennington, KS; J.R. Rutherford of Glazier, TX; numerous cousins and three special friends, Spence, Johnny and Andrea all of Pampa, TX.
