Hedley, TX -- Graveside Services for Nora Nell Lockhart Hopper, 81, of Hedley, TX, will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo, TX, with Rev. Mark Wilson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Hopper passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2005 in Amarillo, TX. She was born on November 12, 1924 in Hall County, TX to the late Gilmer Lockhart and the late Irene (Longshore) Lockhart. She grew up in Hall County and graduated from Memphis High School in 1941. She married Raymond J. Hopper on February 8, 1944 in Memphis, TX. Over the years, Mrs. Hopper lived in Amarillo, TX for 19 years, and Hemphill County for 4 years. She and Raymond returned to Hedley, TX 24 years ago. She was a former member of the Hedley Lioness Club and the Hedley Methodist Church. She was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Memphis, TX. Mrs. Hopper was a housewife. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. She is survived by her husband Raymond of Hedley, TX; three children, Jerry Hopper and wife, Regina, of Yukon, OK; Beverly Hopper of Columbus, GA; and Mike Hopper and wife, Caprice, of Amarillo, TX; one Brother, Ted Lockhart and wife, Janice, of Temple, TX; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to your favorite charity.
