Mrs. Amie Lee (Bumpus) Braidfoot

Services for Mrs. Amie Lee (Bumpus) Braidfoot, 91, of Memphis, TX will be at 2:00 PM Monday, July 7, 2008 at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with her son Larry Braidfoot, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Braidfoot passed away Friday, July 4, 2008 in Memphis, TX. Amie was born April 1, 1917 in Honey Grove, TX to the late Mr. William Bumpus and Mrs. Maudie (Bell) Bumpus. She attended schools in Estelline, TX. She married Leonard D. Braidfoot on November 16, 1935. They lived in the Estelline area until 1976, when they moved to Memphis, TX. He preceded her in death on December 1, 1990. She was a homemaker and a member of the Travis Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters. She is survived by two sons, Eddie F. Braidfoot and wife Dortha of Newlin, TX; Larry Braidfoot and wife Frederica of Irving, TX; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a long time friend Betty Leslie of Memphis, TX and the staff and friends at the Memphis Convalescent Center. The family will greet friends at Hughs Funeral Home, 514 N 10th St., on Sunday, July 6, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The family suggests memorials to Fairview Cemetery Association, P.O.
