Services for Mrs. Frances Ramsey, 103, of Canadian, Texas, will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 16, 2008 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Meller, officiating and Gary Jahnel, assisting. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, Texas. Mrs. Ramsey passed away Thursday, June 12, 2008 in Kerrville, Texas. Frances was born January 19, 1905 in Elk City, OK to the late Mr. Jacob Bachmann and Mrs. Frances (Branscom) Bachmann. She was a lifelong resident of Hemphill County. She married Paul Ramsey on May 23, 1925 in Canadian, TX. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1967. Frances was a member of Gem Baptist Church, Sunday school teacher and a founding member of TRI-C Home Demonstration Club. She also enjoyed china painting and oil painting. She was preceded in death by two sons, John L. and David Ramsey, one daughter, Pauline Walker, three sisters, Pearl Riley, Daisy Kimble, Lena Hawkins, two brothers, Dan and Robert Bachmann, one granddaughter, Janie Robertson and one great-grandson, David Grigg. She is survived by her daughter, Dona Green and husband Jerry of Bandera, TX; one sister, Easter Bingham of Red Bluff, CA; one daughter-in-law, Nadine Ramsey of Rogers, AR; one grandson-in-law, Harley Robertson of Camp Verde, AZ; five grandchildren, John Walker and wife Judy of Canadian, TX; Kathy Grigg and husband Robert of Gentry, AR; J.L. Ramsey of Eagle Rock, MO; Jim Ramsey of Rogers, AR; Chris Green of Aurora, CO; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
