Graveside services for Clara Bell (Whitfield) Williams, 95, of Crowder, OK will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Tannehill Cemetery in McAlester, OK. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Clara Bell passed away Friday, December 6, 2013 in Canadian, TX. Clara Bell was born November 21, 1918 in the Choate Prairie community west of Indianola, OK to the late Mr. William Thomas Whitfield and Mrs. Bertha (Moody) Whitfield. She lived her entire life in and around this area. She was married to Roy Williams. He preceded her in death on October 7, 1987. She was a long time resident of Crowder, OK before moving to Canadian, TX, where she was a resident at the Edward Abraham Memorial Home. She was a wonderful Mom and a homemaker with many talents. She loved to garden, loved canning her veggies, crocheting, quilting, cooking for her family, fishing, tending to her flowers and just having her kids and grandkids around her. She was one of nine children. She was preceded in death by all eight of her siblings, a daughter, Jessie Brandt, two step-daughters, Ella Jean Henry and Evelyn Thompson, a step-son, Leroy Williams and two grandchildren, Anthony Paul Ketchum Jr. and Michael Gray. She is survived by her children, Wilma Helms and husband Alvin of Pampa, TX; Frank Estes of Crowder, OK; Peggy Johnson and husband Don of Canadian, TX; Roy Dale Williams of McAlester, OK; Clara Gray and husband Jerry of Tulsa, OK; Linda Ketchum of Ulan, OK; Dennis Williams and wife Darlene of Indianola, OK; her step-daughter, Betty Grant of Oakley, CA; her step-son, Kenneth Williams of Tannehill, OK; 17 grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. ClaraBell will be available for viewing on Monday and Tuesday, December 9, 2013 and December 10, 2013 at Hughs Funeral Home. She will be available for viewing on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Bishop Funeral Home, 110 South 3rd St. in McAlester, OK.
