Graveside services for J.C. Clark, 87, of Anthony, NM will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2005 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery with Ben Mathers, officiating. Services are under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Clark died Friday, November 18, 2005 in Anthony, NM. Mr. Clark was born on June 23, 1918 in Childress, TX to the late Mr. George Clark and Mrs. Emily Mitchell Clark. He married Zona Roberts of May 30, 1942 in Canadian, TX. He moved to Canadian, TX in 1950 from Wheeler, TX. J.C. and his partner Jerry McElreath operated the Mobil Service Station for 18 years before retiring in 1984. He served on the Canadian City Council and Salvation Army for many years. He is survived by his wife, Zona Clark of Anthony, NM; one son, James Clark and wife Penny of Amarillo, TX; one daughter, Barbara Barton and husband J.D. of Anthony, NM; one sister Hazel Black of Amarillo, TX; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family suggest memorials be to the Mesilla Valley Hospice, 299 E. Montana, Las Cruces, NM 88005.
