Services for Mrs. Irene Hardin, 93, of Canadian, Texas, will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Monte Kreis, officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, Texas. Mrs. Hardin passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008 in Canadian, Texas. Irene was born January 15, 1915 in Wellington, TX to the late Mr. Frank Fuson and Mrs. Florence Ivey Fuson. She was a graduate of Wellington High School. She moved to Canadian in the late 1930’s from Wellington. She married Andrew Earl “Bob” Hardin on December 2, 1939 in Miami, TX. He preceded her in death on December 7, 1976. She was a homemaker and a long time member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Kendall of Canadian, TX; one brother, Lonnie Fuson of Lawton, OK; two sisters, Ruth Cook of Amarillo, TX; Olene Moss of Los Angeles, CA; four grandchildren, Penny Brown and Bill Kendall both of Canadian; Deborah Kendall of Houston, TX; Roberta Kendall of Jersey City, NJ and four great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 S 4th St., Canadian, TX 79014.
