Juhree E. Carr

Memorial service for Juhree Carr, 81, of Canadian, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2013 at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Dr. Dean English, officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Juhree passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 in Canadian, TX. Juhree was born July 28, 1932 in Cordell, OK to the late Mr. Ernest and Lola Chedester. She graduated high school in Cordell, OK. She married Carroll Carr on December 17, 1949 in Stinnett, TX. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1999. They moved to Canadian in 1950 from Stinnett. Juhree worked for the Canadian Vet Clinic for 25 years as a secretary. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and the Church of Christ. She also enjoyed genealogy and crafts. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Silva. She is survived by two sons, Terry Carr and wife Carol of Missouri; David Carr and wife Kathy of Canadian, TX; her brother, Chet Chedester of San Antonio, TX; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 South 4th St., Canadian, TX 79014 or a favorite charity.
