Tommy Andrews

Services for Mr. Tommy Andrews, 54, of Canadian, Texas, will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the First Christian Church with Matt Cook, officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, Texas. Mr. Andrews passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008 in Abilene, Texas. Tommy was born August 17, 1953 in Carnegie, OK to the late Mr. Melvin Andrews and Mrs. Freda (Ainsworth) Andrews. He attended schools in Guymon, OK and also attended Amarillo College. He married Pat Bishop on June 4, 1971 in Stratford, TX. They moved to Canadian, TX in 1973 from Guymon, OK. Tommy was owner and operator of Andrews Plumbing, Andrews Bail Bonds, River City Security and a member of the First Christian Church. He is preceded in death by one brother, Darrell Andrews. He is survived by his wife, Pat Andrews of Canadian, TX; one daughter, Casandra Spruell and husband Jeff of Abilene, TX; one sister, Sandra Cherry and husband Howard of Colony, OK; his father-in- law and mother-in-law, James and Lou Bishop of Canadian, TX; three brother-in-laws, Mike Bishop and Glenn Bishop both of Canadian, TX; Donald Bishop of Dallas, TX; two sister-in-laws, Judy Bishop of California; Jamie Stafford of Woodward, OK; two grandchildren, Taran and Brysan Spruell both of Abilene, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials to the Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 S. 4th St., Canadian, TX 79014.
