Memphis, TX – Graveside services for Ruby Frances Farrar, 88, of San Angelo, TX, will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 31, 2013, at the Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, with the Rev. Daniel Downey officiating. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Ruby Frances Farrar was born on September 23, 1924, in Canadian, TX, to the Lindsey Albert Johnson and Celia Burgess Johnson. She passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, in San Angelo, TX. Ruby married J.D. Farrar on November 29, 1941, in Hollis, Oklahoma. He passed away on May 28, 2004. Ruby was a blessing to her family and friends. She enjoyed making porcelain dolls, ceramics, oil painting, sewing and cooking. She was a member of Southland Baptist Church. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sons, Jerry Dale and Gary Lynn Farrar, four brothers, Albert, Jimmy, J.B., and Charlie Johnson, and two sisters, Florence Johnson and Jean Brownlow. She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Gamble of San Angelo, a brother, Larry Johnson and wife Connie of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas, four grandchildren, Jerry Duncan of San Angelo, Chris Duncan of Robstown, Kelly Farrar and Kristi Farrar of Lubbock and seven great grandchildren.
