Rosary services for Clara Blevins, 74, of Canadian, Texas will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Juan C. Barragan, Officiating. Burial will be in Kelton Cemetery in Kelton, TX under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. Blevins passed away Monday, April 28, 2008 in Canadian, Texas. She was born on May 5, 1933 in Colonias, NM to the late Mr. Candido Ruiz and Mrs. Sophia Bowles Ruiz. She attended schools in Colonias, NM. She married Carroll Blevins on May 8, 1971 in Canadian, TX. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Candido Blevins on May 13, 2005. She is survived by her husband, Carroll Blevins of Canadian, TX; one son, Ronald Blevins Sr. of Canadian, TX; one daughter, Carol Lane of Amarillo, TX; two brothers, Lucianae Ruiz of Denver, CO; Fidel Ruiz of Pecos, NM; two sisters, Louise Palomino of Santa Fe, NM; Maria Lucero of Belen, NM; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
