Mable Woods

Memorial service for Mable Woods, 96, of Canadian, TX will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Danny Sanders, officiating. A private burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mable passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 in Canadian, TX. Mable was born June 7, 1917 in Atoka County, OK to the late Mr. Jodie Wilson and Mrs. Ora (Brooks) Wilson. She attended schools in Canadian. She married Leroy Woods on November 10, 1943 in Vernon, TX. He preceded her in death on September 23, 1988. Mable worked at a laundry in Amarillo for a number of years. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two brothers, Rhea Wilson and wife Pat and Kelly Wilson and wife Laura all of Canadian, TX and several nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
