Memphis, TX – Memorial services for Harry Lee Rogers, 68, of Memphis, Texas, will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Memphis with Rev. Aulston Ridley officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Harry Lee Rogers was born on February 13, 1945, in Memphis, Texas, to Otho and Mildred (Moore) Rogers. He passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013, in Childress, Texas. Harry attended Morningside School and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Memphis. Harry enjoyed helping people and working. He worked as a farm hand for Billy D. Bowman and also his best friend, Blackie Johnson until his health began to fail in 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, L.D. Williams, and a sister, Georgia Bell Dickson. He is survived by his sisters, Opal Means of Memphis, Texas, and Debbie Louis of San Angelo, Texas, his brothers, Garfield Williams of Memphis, Texas, William Rogers of Dallas, Texas, Oleland Rogers of Beaumont, Texas, & Loral Dale Rogers of Memphis, Texas, a host of nieces and nephews and a great friend, Anthony Johnson who took care of Harry in his last days.
