Audrey B. Tribble

Memphis, TX -- Services for Audrey B. Tribble, 91, of Memphis, TX, will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 7, 2005 at the Church of Christ in Memphis, TX, with Tom Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Tribble passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2005 in Memphis, TX. She was born on December 6, 1913 in Fairview, TX. She was raised in the Bolls Orphans Home and graduated from school there when she was sixteen years old. She and Homer Tribble were married on May 25, 1947 in Memphis, TX. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1982. Mrs. Tribble graduated from West Texas Teachers College. She began her teaching career in Quail, TX, where she taught for three years. She moved to Memphis, TX in 1941, where she taught for a total of forty-two years. She was the County librarian for ten years, and also worked at Branigan's Jewelry in Memphis for twenty years. Mrs. Tribble was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and was a Den Mother, serving as Merit Badge Counselor until 1990. She was a member of the Church of Chirst in Memphis, TX. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Boggs; and a sister, Reba Harris. She is survived by two sons, Neil Tribble and his wife, Sue, of Childress, TX; and Bob Tribble and his wife, Sherry, of Memphis, TX; one brother, Derwood Boggs of Waco, TX; one sister, Ima Harris of Kerrville, TX; four grandchildren, Michael Tribble of Memphis, TX; Bill David Tribble and his wife, Sandra, of Childress, TX; Nikki Robison and her husband, John, of Memphis, TX; and Ami Tribble of Memphis, TX; several nieces and nephews; and was anticipating the arrival of her first great grandchild. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Fairview Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 265, Memphis, TX 79245.
