Frankye Lynn Goldston

Memphis, TX - Memorial services for Frankye Lynn Goldston, 77, of Memphis, TX, will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 11, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church in Memphis with Rev. Gerald Powley officiating and Rev. Gary Boles assisting. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Mrs. Goldston was born on May 21, 1935, in Lakeview, TX, to Clinton F. and Pansy (Dawson) Srygley. She passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013, in Memphis, TX. Frankye graduated from Memphis High School and from West Texas State College in Canyon. She was a school teacher in Harrold, TX for one year and then for five years at San Jacinto in Amarillo. She taught third grade in Memphis for 15 years and then was the Principal at Austin Elementary for ten years. She married Jim Goldston on November 22, 1962, in Memphis, TX. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her father in 1977, her mother in 2007 and her brother Gilbert Srygley in October 2012. Frankye is survived by her husband Jim Goldston of Memphis, her sons, Jim Bob Goldston & wife Lori of Forney, TX and Clinton Thomas Goldston & wife Julie of Greenville, TX, her grandchildren, Shae Goldston, Jared Goldston, Whitney Goldston, Kiley Goldston and Jolie Goldston, and her great grandson, Grayson Short. The family suggests memorials be made to a favorite charity.
