Rosary services for Maria L. Torres, 62, of Memphis, Texas will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Gregory Bunyan, Officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Mrs. Torres passed away Sunday, January 27, 2008 in Memphis, TX. Maria was born on June 12, 1945 in Oden, TX to the late Mr. Fidel Flores Sr. and Mrs. Belia Briseño Flores. She married Phillip Leo Torres Sr. in May of 1965 in Plainview, TX. They moved to Memphis, TX in 1988 from Plainview, TX. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters and one grandchild. She is survived by her husband, Phillip Leo Torres Sr. of Memphis, TX; one son, Phillip Leo Torres Jr. of Memphis, TX; four daughters, Mary Morales and husband Jessie Jr., Victoria Sepeda, Graciela Trevino and husband Julian and Yolanda Bailey all of Memphis, TX; two brothers, Fidel Flores Jr. and San Juan Flores both of Lubbock, TX; four sisters, Estella Dominguez of Cotton Center, TX; Olivia Garza of Plainview, TX; Debra Flores of Lubbock, TX and Belia Flores of Arlington, TX; 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
