W.C. Dennis

Services for Mr. W.C. Dennis, 87, of Memphis, TX will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Mack Tomlinson, officiating and Rev. Daniel Downey and Darrell Burton, assisting. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mr. Dennis passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2008 in Clarendon, TX. W.C. was born on January 25, 1921 in Memphis, TX to the late Mr. L.O. Dennis and Mrs. Carrie Foster Dennis. He was a lifelong resident of Memphis, TX and the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one brother, Bennie Dennis and one sister, Ardis Vallance. He is survived by two nephews, Richard Vallance and wife Kay of Amarillo, TX; Eddie Dennis of Dallas, TX; three nieces, Cherrye Howard of Clarendon, TX; Dolfia Hearn and husband Billy of Montgomery, TX; Linda Tomlinson and husband Mack of Denton, TX; a sister-in-law, Fleta Dennis Hunt of North Richland Hills, TX; 14 great nieces and nephews, 24 great-great nieces and nephews, 21 great-great-great nieces and nephews.
