Memphis, TX -- Services for Clara Lamb Cooper, 64, of Memphis, TX, will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 1, 2005 at First Baptist Church in Memphis, TX, with Rev. Rick Musick officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Cooper passed away on Friday, August 26, 2005 in Claude, TX. She was born on August 17, 1941 in Paris, TX to the late Mr. Minor Lamb and Mrs. Maggie (Whiten) Lamb. She grew up in Hall county, living most of her life in Memphis, TX, where she was raised in the Pentecostal church. She attended Morningside school, and married Otis Cooper in 1987 in Memphis, TX. She was a housewife. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Wilson on February 27, 2005. She is survived by her husband Otis Cooper of Memphis, TX; her mother, Maggie Lamb of Memphis, TX; six children, Debra Gilbert of Memphis, TX; Freddie Percell of Oakland, CA; Rodney Lamb of Memphis, TX; Stevie Lamb of Edinburg, TX; Stephanie Cooper of Long Beach, CA; and Carolyn Cooper of Dallas, TX; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one brother, Joe Lamb of Memphis, TX; 3 sisters, Helen Cannon of Las Vegas, NV; Carolyn Harper of Los Angeles, CA; and Peggy Steptoe of Kansas City, MO; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
