Graveside services for Jimmy Hoobler, 42, of Canadian, TX will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Dinzel Leonard, officiating and Todd Meek, assisting. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Hoobler passed away Monday, January 7, 2008 in Canadian, Texas. Jimmy was born on November 14, 1965 in Canadian, TX to Mr. Jim Hoobler and Mrs. Marge Hadley Hoobler. He was a 1984 graduate of Canadian High School. He worked for Sturm Ruger for 16 years in Prescott, AZ. He was also a horse trainer in California, Arizona and Oklahoma and a life member of the American Rifle Association. Jimmy moved back to Canadian, TX in July 2006 from Ada, OK. He then went to work as an operator for Williams Welding Incorporated and was also a member of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one brother, Brian Hoobler on February 7, 1989. He is survived by one daughter, Cammi Hoobler of Prescott Valley, AZ; his parents, Jim and Marge Hoobler of Canadian, TX; one sister, Janet Reed and husband James of Canadian, TX; his aunt and uncle, Joyce and H.L. Thomas of Canadian, TX; his niece and nephew, Megan and Dillon Reed both of Canadian, TX and many cousins and close friends. The family suggests memorials be made to your favorite charity.
