Graveside Services for Roy Glen Webb, 74, of Burleson, TX, will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, TX, with Rev. Johnnie Snider officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, TX. The family held a Memorial Service on Monday, August 22, 2005 at Laurel Land Funeral Chapel in Dallas. Arrangements are under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mr. Webb passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2005 in Alvaredo, TX. He was born on June 23, 1931 in Vernon, TX to the late Roy Webb and Peggy (Hill) Webb. He grew up in Vernon, TX and graduated from Vernon High School in 1949. He then earned a degree in Electrical Engineering at Texas Tech University in 1958. He served in the U.S. Navy in Korea, and married Glenda Childress on December 27, 1956 in Phillips, TX. She preceded him in death on June 3, 2000. Mr. Webb lived in Big Spring, TX, and later moved to Burleson, TX in 1974. He worked as an Electrical Engineer for TXU for thirty years. He was also preceded in death by a son, David Glen Webb on December 14, 2004. He is survived by one daughter, Angela Gaylord of Burleson, TX; two brothers, Bud Webb of Kingsland, Texas; and Jerry Don Webb of Lubbock, Texas; and two grandchildren.
