Betty Young McMordie

Memorial services for Betty Young McMordie, 79, of Amarillo, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with David Young, Lee Young and Rev. Ed Cooley, officiating. Inurnment will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. McMordie passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2007 in Amarillo, TX. Betty was born on July 27, 1928 to the late Mr. John Young and Mrs. Pearl Helton Young. She was a graduate of Canadian High School and went on to attend the University of Texas Tech. She married John McMordie in September of 1947 . She was a member of Chapter 1 PEO and the First Presbyterian Church. She was also a homemaker. She is survived by two daughters, Anna Henry of Plano, TX; Joni Middleton and husband Riley of Canadian, TX; two grandsons, Josh Henry of Jacksonville, FL; John McIntyre of Los Angles, CA.
