Richard Joe Garcia, Sr. Memphis, TX: – Services for Richard Joe Garcia, Sr., 55, of Memphis, TX will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 1, 2012, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father David Contreras, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, TX under the personal care of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Rosary Services will be at 6:00 P.M., Sunday, September 30, 2012, at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Richard Joe Garcia, Sr. passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012. Richard was born on January 8, 1957, in Thrall, TX to Victor & Frances (Cardona) Garcia. He married Eva (Narvaez) Garcia on October 12, 1973, in Memphis, TX. Richard was an Engineer for Burlington Northern Railroad for 19 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Memphis. He had a passion for collecting antiques. Richard loved his wife, his kids and his grandkids and could put a smile on everyone’s face. He is survived by his wife, Eva Garcia, his mother, Frances Garcia of Combs, his sons, Louis Adrian Garcia & wife Anna Laura of Memphis and Richard Joe Garcia, Jr. & wife Carmen of Memphis, his daughter, Anna Duran & husband Cosme of Memphis, his brothers, Victor Garcia, Jr. of Amarillo, Pedro Garcia of Memphis and George Garcia of Paducah, his sisters, Frances Garcia of Combs, Florence King of Combs, Armandina Garza of Edinburg, Rosemary Busby of Memphis, Lupe Chavera of Memphis and Pauline Reyes of Amarillo, and his grandchildren, Chaseton Garcia, Richard Joe Garcia III, Olivia Duran, Adrian Garcia, Anahi Garcia and Alexandria Galvan.. He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Garcia, Sr. and a sister, Maria Torres. Pallbearers will be Albert Narvaez, Arturo Garza, John Narvaez, Roy Maldonado, Rudy Gonzalez, Sonny Narvaez, Sonny Torres, and Victor Landin, Sr.
