Mike Porter

Graveside services for Mike Porter, 47, of Borger, TX will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery with David Young, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Porter passed away Monday, November 26, 2007 in Amarillo, Texas. Mike was born on May 1, 1960 in Canadian, TX to the late Mr. Buster Porter and Mrs. Loretta Whers Porter. He attended grammar school in Canadian, TX and graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, OK. He moved to Borger, TX in 1991 from Canadian, TX. Mike worked as an electrician for Zachry Construction Corporation in Borger, TX. He was preceded in death by three brothers, George Perrin, Bobby Porter and Jim Bill Porter. He is survived by three sons, Steven Young and Wayne Porter both of Canadian, TX; Matthew Porter of Borger, TX; one daughter, Kathy Anderson of Amarillo, TX; two brothers, George Adams of Texas; Eddie Joe Adams of California; ten sisters, Ida Swanson and husband Tom of Guthrie, OK; Donna Hamel and husband Jack, Peggy Miller and Diane Hornsby and husband Cliff all of Pampa, TX; Mary Joe Languell and husband Gerald of Blair, OK; Debbie Clark and husband Roger and Polly Chaffin and husband Jim all of Canadian, TX; Marcia Back and husband Brandon of Darrouzett, TX; Marie Wilson and husband Bob and Roberta Hardin and husband Charlie all of Oklahoma; one grandson, Levi Michael Porter of Tulia, TX; one sister-in-law, Brenda Perrin of Canadian, TX; the mother of his children, Karen Porter of Amarillo, TX and many loving friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.
