Canadian: (Special) - Services for Wally Lowman, 72, of Canadian, TX will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2005 at the Church of Christ with Dr. Dean English, officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Lowman died Monday, June 20, 2005 in Amarillo, TX. He was born on March 16, 1933 in Fargo, OK to the late Mrs. Jewel Lowman. He attended grammar school and high school in Buffalo, OK. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict. He married Crystal Chance on October 28, 1952 in Woodward, OK. He moved to Canadian, TX in 1968 from Shattuck, OK. Wally was a member of the Moose Lodge in Perryton, TX and was a Mechanic. He was also a Baptist. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Crystal Lowman of Canadian, TX; one son, Kenneth Lowman of Guymon, OK; two daughters, Janet Holder of Elk City, OK; Janice Scroggins of Canadian, TX; one brother Eddie Cline of Muskogee, OK; four sisters, Mary Morgan of Canute, OK; Alice Reed of Moore, OK; Pauline Huckins of Camargo, OK; Rama Lou Gooden of Guthrie, OK; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The family suggest memorials be to the American Cancer Society, 3915 S. Bell, Amarillo, TX 79109.
