Eddie Meek

Memorial service for Eddie Meek, 39, of Canadian, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the First Baptist Church with Jimmy Smith, officiating. A private family burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Eddie passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 in Canadian, TX. Eddie was born July 19, 1973 in Pampa, TX to Mr. Grant Meek and Mrs. Karen (Moore) Meek. He was a 1992 graduate of Canadian High School. He married Shari Hoots on November 18, 2002 in Jamaica. Eddie has been a rancher his entire life. Eddie has coached the Canadian Cats Junior Football League for the last seven years. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Grant Meek; his grandparents, Raymond and Isabell Moore and Clyde and Ileta Meek. He is survived by his wife, Shari Meek of Canadian, TX; his sons, Coleman and Caden Cleveland both of Canadian, TX; his mother, Karen Meek of Fairview, TX; his brother, Todd Meek and wife Lexia of Waco, TX; his sisters, Shonda Smith and husband Jimmy of Allen, TX; Lisa Reeves of Woodland Park, CO; his nephews, Tyler and Logan Smith and Joshua Reeves and nieces, Katherine Smith and Addison Meek.
