Rosary services for John “Johnny” Gallardo, 87, of Canadian, Texas will be at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Juan C. Barragan, Officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Gallardo passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2007 in Canadian, Texas. He was born on December 5, 1919 in Tumbiscotio Michoacan, Mexico to the late Mr. Jesus Gallardo and Mrs. Lupe Gutierrez Gallardo. He graduated high school in Chicago. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. He moved to Canadian, TX from Chicago, IL in 1967. He married Aurelia Garcia Gallardo on June 3, 1968 in Hemphill County. She preceded him in death on June 14, 1993. He worked as a service technician for the gas company for many years. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by one sister. He is survived by his children, Robert and Barbara Alexander and friends James and Ruby McCarley, Roger and Helen Mize and Frank and Jeanie Pfannenstiel all of Canadian, TX. The family suggests memorials be made to American Cancer Society, Amarillo Chapter, 3915 Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109.
