Creed Lamb McLean: (Special) - Services for Creed Lamb, 74, of McLean, TX will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2005 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Kelly Raymond, officiating and Rev. Thacker Haynes and Rev. Jim Reyna assisting. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean, TX under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Lamb died Thursday, May 26, 2005 in Amarillo, TX. He was born on December 13, 1930 in Memphis, TX to the late Mr. Creed Lamb Sr. and Mrs. Ara Jean Jefferson Lamb. Creed was a graduate of Memphis High School in 1949. He then attended and graduated from Landig Mortuary College in Houston, TX in 1950. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He married Wanda Hoover on March 15, 1952 in Clovis, NM. They moved to Mclean, TX in 1956 from Littlefield, TX. Creed was Funeral Director and Owner of Lamb Funeral Home in Mclean, TX for 36 years, during which time he served hundreds of families with care and kindness. He was a cattleman, as well. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 889 in McLean, TX, Lodge 929 in Shamrock, TX, was also a member of the Eastern Star in Shamrock, TX, and York Rite, Scottish Rite and Khiva Temple of the Shrine in Amarillo, TX. Creed was a long time member of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Mothershed and Jean Dewlen. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Lamb of McLean, TX; one son, Joe Creed Lamb of Houston, TX; three daughters, Regina Jones of Amarillo, TX; Denise Browning of Amarillo, TX; Anna Jean Lamb Michalenko of McLean, TX; two sisters, Evelyn Buchanan of Las Cruces, NM; Jo Carmen of Amarillo, TX; one brother-in-law, Al Dewlen of Waco, TX; 10 grandchildren, Misty Browning of Denver, CO; Katrina Jones of Amarillo, TX; Dusty Browning of Amarillo, TX; Kassie Jones of Amarillo, TX; Courtney Lamb of Rapid City, SD; Mariah Lamb of Rapid City, SD; Tyler Creed Lamb of McLean, TX; Ryan Creed Lamb of Rapid City, SD; Kaleigh Jones of Amarillo, TX; and Ariel Michalenko of McLean, TX.
