Services for Mrs. Velma Dudley, 73, of Memphis, TX will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Red Marble Ministries Church with Rev. Dale Miller, officiating and Rev. Dale Sexton, assisting. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Velma passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012 in Childress, TX. Velma was born January 20, 1939 in East Afton, TX to the late Mr. James Leslie Peak Sr. and Mrs. Emma Rebecca (Moningham) Peak. She attended schools in Patton Springs, TX. She moved to Matador, TX in 1957 from East Afton, TX. Velma married Wiley Dean Dudley on August 4, 1960 in Matador, TX. They moved to Memphis, TX in 1985 from Paducah, TX. She attended the Red Marble Ministries Church. She is survived by her husband, Wiley Dean Dudley of Memphis, TX; two sons, Rodger Dudley and wife Sonia of Hobbs, NM; James Dudley of Niangua, MO; three daughters, Jeannie Hastey and husband Ronnie of Elkhart, KS; Rhonda Dudley of Hobbs, NM; Evelyn Arganbright and husband Glen of Fritch, TX; one brother, James Leslie Peak Jr. and wife Clarine of Licking, MO; two sisters, Dora Ward of Perryton, TX; Jo Peak of Amarillo, TX; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
