Rita Hedrick

Services for Rita Hedrick, 70, of Estelline, TX, will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 15, 2005 at First Baptist Church in Estelline, TX, with Rev. Marlin Felts officiating. Interment will follow at Hulver Cemetery in Estelline, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Hedrick passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2005 in Estelline, TX. She was born on September 18, 1934 in Buffalo Flat, TX to the late Carl Hill and Lena (McGlocklin) Hill. She grew up in Parnell, TX and graduated from Turkey High School in 1952. She married Frank Hedrick on September 25, 1950 in Clovis, NM. She worked previously as a nurse at the Memphis Hospital. Mrs. Hedrick had lived in Estelline, TX since moving there from Turkey, TX in 1963. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Estelline, TX. She is survived by her husband Frank Hedrick of Estelline, TX; two daughters, Amanda Proffitt and husband Gary of Amarillo, TX; and Shane Collins of Lakewood, CO; five grandchildren, Jason and Justin Proffitt of Amarillo, TX; Joe Barton of Amarillo, TX; Cody Collins of Lakewood, CO; and Dylan Collins of Follett, TX; and two great grandchildren, Lathan and Sadie of Amarillo, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Animal Rescue Shelter Inc., 12500 S. Washington St, Amarillo, TX 79118.
