Services for Jack Daughtry, 77, of Canadian, TX will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the Lyon Park Recreational Center in Durham, OK with Matt Dillon, officiating and Mike Flynn, assisting. Burial will follow in Eller Flat Prairie Dell Cemetery in Hemphill County under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Jack passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012 in Oklahoma City, OK. Jack was born September 2, 1934 in Quanah, TX to the late Mr. Horace L. Daughtry and Mrs. Alice (Newman) Daughtry. He was a 1952 graduate of Quanah High School. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He married Florence Bonds on November 12, 1982. Jack has been a farmer and rancher in Hemphill County for many years. He was a member of the Cattleman Association, American Quarter Horse Association, Laborers Local #393 in Marseilles IL and the American Bucking Bull Association. He was also a member of the Durham Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joyzelle McIntire Potts on October 3, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Florence Daughtry of Canadian, TX; his God son, Gary Wade of Canute, OK; his God daughter, Jackie Clementz of Illinois; his nephews, Wiley and Paul McIntire both of Amarillo, TX; his nieces, Kathy Topper of Pampa, TX; Jan Woods of Skellytown, TX; his cousin, Sandra Hawkins of Atlanta, TX and a host of friends.
