Services for Mr. Nolan Salmon, 74, of Memphis, TX will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert G. Blum, officiating. Burial will follow in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon, TX under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Nolan passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 in Childress, TX. Nolan was born November 8, 1937 in Hall County to the late Mr. Roland Salmon and Mrs. Henrietta (Edens) Salmon. He was a 1956 graduate of Lakeview High School and then went on and attended Texas A&M University. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He married Luevella ‘Sue” Keever in September of 1964 in Perryton, TX. She preceded him in death on February 10, 2010. Nolan was a farmer and rancher and was also a partner in Salmon & Foxhall Medals. He served on the Lakeview ISD school board and was very active in the American Legion in Memphis, TX. He is survived by his daughter, Linnie Crosnoe and husband Steve of Frisco, TX; his grandchildren, Bailey and Brayden Crosnoe both of Frisco, TX; his brother, Mackie Salmon of Memphis, TX; his sisters, Sammie Doring of Clarendon, TX and Gay Galvin of Atascadero, CA. The family suggest memorials be made to Citizens Cemetery, Clarendon, TX.
