Memorial services for Shelly Behney, 80, of Canadian, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Danny Sanders, officiating. A private burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Shelly passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 in Amarillo, TX. Shelly was born September 19, 1931 in Pampa, TX to the late Mr. John Wilkinson and Mrs. Tess (Terrell) Wilkinson. She was a 1946 graduate of Canadian High School. She was a partner in a store in Canadian named Hodge Podge. Shelly had many hobbies such as, loved to fish, crochet, loved to read, loved to do yard work and an avid animal lover. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church and Golden Girls Bridge Club. She is survived by her sister, Sandy Waterfield and husband Jim of Canadian, TX; her aunts and uncle, Jim and Faye Terrell of Amarillo, TX; Billie Terrell of Athens, TX; Myra Wilkinson of Oklahoma City, OK; her niece, Cindy Young and husband Craig of Canadian, TX; her nephew, Rick Waterfield and wife Mary of Canadian, TX; her great niece, Tracey Young and great nephews, Matt and David Young and Jason and Bryan Waterfield. The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church, 520 Main, Canadian, TX.
