Louise Moore

Graveside services for Louise Owens Moore, 87, of Canadian, TX will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 in Eller Flat Prairie Dell Cemetery with Darryl Moore, officiating and Bob Meller, assisting. Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church in Canadian. Arrangements are under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Louise passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 in Canadian, TX. Louise was born August 21, 1924 in Vernon, TX to the late Mr. Henry Owens and Mrs. Ivan (Bailey) Owens. She was a 1942 graduate of Canadian High School. She married Thomas Walton “Wart” Moore on October 19, 1947 in Canadian, TX. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2010. She was a member of the Gem City Baptist Church and later at First Baptist Church in Durham, OK. Louise was also a homemaker. She is survived by four daughters, Paula Timm and husband Dave of Amarillo, TX; Sydna Hamilton and husband Joe of Canadian, TX; Dianne Huey and husband Wayne of Tuttle, OK; Sheri Hensley of Canadian, TX; two sisters, Peggy Price of Grand Junction, CO; Nona Elkins of Amarillo, TX; one granddaughter, Anna Abeyta and husband Kevin of Petaluma, CA; one great-grandson, Luke Thomas Abeyta of Petaluma, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 South 4th St., Canadian, TX 79014 or Edward Abraham Memorial Home, 803 Birch, Canadian, TX 79014.
