Graveside services for Mrs. Ada Mae “Sue” Anderson, 83, of Canadian, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian, TX with Jeff Lay, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Sue passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011 in Pampa, TX. Sue was born October 25, 1927 in Moore County, TX to the late Mr. Reason Davis and Mrs. Dora (Randolph) Davis. She attended schools in Conlen and Stratford High School. She married R.L. Anderson on October 6, 1945 in Clayton, NM. He preceded her in death on August 20, 2004. She moved to Canadian, TX in 1953 from Kerrick, TX. She was a homemaker and a past member of DAR. She was also a member of the First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her son, James “Butch” Anderson and 5 brothers. She is survived by her son, Roy Lee Anderson and wife Barbara of Geronimo, OK; her daughters, Roberta Haines of Canadian, TX; Eva McClellan and husband Gary of Hereford, TX; 7 grandchildren, Dee Anna Lay and husband Jeff of Sweetwater, TX; Tammy Timmons and husband Troy of Amarillo, TX; Trella Burton and Andy Priest of Amarillo, TX; Ronald Anderson and wife Samantha and Neil Anderson all of Apache Junction, AZ; Tiffany and Reson Anderson both of Canadian, TX; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
