Rosary services for Frank Pfannenstiel, 83, of Canadian, TX will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bala Showreddy, officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Pfannenstiel passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 in Canadian, TX. He was born on February 23, 1928 in Munjor, KS to the late Mr. Joseph Pfannenstiel and Mrs. Agnes (Schreibvogel) Pfannenstiel. Frank was a 1946 graduate in Schoenchen, KS. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He married Jeanie Ross on June 4, 1960 in Oxford, KS. He moved to Canadian in 1975 from Liberal, KS. Frank worked in the oilfield from 1956 to 1995. He was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars and the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. He is survived by his wife, Jeanie Pfannenstiel of Canadian, TX; four sons, Chuck Pfannenstiel and wife Rhonda of San Antonio, TX; Darrell Pfannenstiel of Kansas City, MO; Frank Pfannenstiel Jr. of Caddo Mills, TX; Bill Pfannenstiel and wife Deane of Lubbock, TX; three daughters, Debbie Lock of Sulphur Springs, TX; Cindy Stewart and husband Bob of Forney, TX; Lisa Young and husband Lee of Lubbock, TX; one sister, Johanna Befort of Enid, OK; 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
