Graveside services for Dale Carr, 55, of Canadian, TX will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday September 3, 2011 at the Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery with Shawn Davis, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Carr passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011 in Canadian, TX. Dale was born September 28, 1955 in Canadian, TX to the late Mr. Elbie Carr and Mrs. Evelyn (McKee) Carr. He attended schools in Canadian and was a lifelong resident of Canadian, TX. Dale was a cowboy, plumber and worked in the oilfield. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Don Satterwhite, two nephews, Mike Satterwhite and Paul Lynn Rux. He is survived by his son, Levi Carr of Arnett, OK; his stepdaughter, Estella Barker of Amarillo, TX; his brother, Robert Carr and wife Julie of Holdenville, OK; his sisters, Tex Satterwhite of Higgins, TX; Norene Rux and husband Richard of Archer City, TX; Carol Ann Wilson and husband George of Canadian, TX; 6 grandchildren, 8 nieces, 11 great nieces and nephews and two great-great-nieces. The family suggests memorials to Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 South 4th St., Canadian, TX 79014.
