Rosary services for Mr. Eulalio “Lalo” Garza, 64, of Memphis, TX will be at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church with Father Jim Schmitmeyer, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, TX. Mr. Garza passed away Monday, June 20, 2011 in Amarillo, TX. Lalo was born July 28, 1946 in Edinburg, TX to Mrs. Anita (Mercado) Garza and the late Mr. Antonio Garza Sr. He attended schools in San Manuel, TX. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He married Sylvia Garza on September 5, 1968 in Memphis, TX. He moved to Memphis, TX in the 1950’s from Mission, TX. Lalo worked for a few years at the Cactus Motel and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Octavio Garcia. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Garza of Memphis, TX; three sons, Edward Garza Sr. of Memphis, TX; Eric Garza and wife Ruby of Maderia, CA; Ray Garza and wife Ramona of Memphis, TX; his mother, Anita Garza of San Manuel, TX; four brothers, Victor Garza and wife Ascension of San Manuel, TX; Benito Garza and wife Otila of Corpus Christi, TX; Juan Garza and wife Juanita of Edinburg, TX; Antonio Garza Jr. of San Manuel, TX; four sisters, Teodora Cavazos and husband Joaquia of McAllen, TX; Enedelia Guiterrez and husband Jesus of San Manuel, TX; Enedina Garcia of McAllen, TX; Bonnie Flores and husband Oscar of San Manuel, TX; eight grandchildren, Sean Campbell, Crystal Garza, Tabitha Garza, Tia Garza, Edward Garza Jr., Sebastian Garza, Mya Garza and Noah Garza.
