Graveside services for Jo Riley, 95, of Canadian, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2011 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian, TX with Rev. Kade Curry, officiating. Inurnment will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. Jo Riley passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011 in Hemphill County, TX. Mrs. Riley was born November 5, 1915 to the late Judge W.L. and Minnie Helton in Canadian, TX. She graduated from Canadian High School and attended West Texas State University for one year and married Tom Riley on March 17, 1935, who preceded her in death on July 16, 1970. After working at the First National Bank of Canadian for over twenty years, Jo retired in 1979. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and served on the Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery Board and the Edward Abraham Memorial Home Board. Mrs. Riley is survived by three daughters; Helen Ann Walker and husband Glen Bill of Canadian, TX; Kathleen Martindale and husband Jerry of Amarillo, TX; Sharon Lusk of Canadian, TX; six grandchildren; Riley Rood of Dallas, TX; Richard Barton of Dallas, TX; Mike Martindale of Lubbock, TX; Leslie Martindale of Amarillo, TX; Bob Lusk of Canadian, TX; Steve Lusk of Ponca City, OK; and nine great-grandchildren.
