James "J.O." Dixon

Services for Mr. James “J.O.” Dixon, 80, of Memphis, TX will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 21, 2011 at the Church of Christ with Tom Anderson, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. J.O. passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011 in Amarillo, TX. J.O. was born June 1, 1930 in the Salisbury Community to the late Mr. James E. Dixon and Mrs. Lillian E. (Huggins) Dixon. He was a 1949 graduate of Memphis High School. He married Marjory Foster on April 8, 1952 in Hedley, TX. J.O. was owner and operator of Dixon’s for 40 plus years. He was a past member of the Memphis Rotary Club. He was also a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Marjory Dixon of Memphis, TX; three sons, Billy Edd Dixon and wife Trisha of Kingwood, TX; Jim Dixon and wife Sheri and Jody Dixon and wife Chanla all of Memphis, TX; one brother, Elbert “Buck” Dixon of Memphis, TX; 7 grandchildren, Michael Dixon and wife Kristen of Amarillo, TX; Heather Saenz and husband Ronel of Canadian, TX; Ashley Koepke and husband Brad of Miami, TX; Drew Dixon of Lubbock, TX; Meagan Dixon of Plainview, TX; Brandon and Chad Tague both of Orlando, FL; four great-grandchildren, Landon, Sage and Isaac James Saenz all of Canadian, TX and Braylee Koepke of Miami, TX. The family suggest memorials be made to a favorite charity. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 20, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Hughs Funeral Home, 514 North 10th St., Memphis, TX 79245.
